As an example of the “hands-on” approach that the company is prepared to take, Blue Shrimp has teamed up with the Australian inventors of the Eye-In cricket training product to distribute the Eye-In in the UK.
The Eye-In is based on the way that Sir Don Bradman practised with a golf ball and a cricket stump against a water butt in his back yard in Adelaide. The product includes a DVD with instructions and original black and white footage of “The Don” demonstrating his practice technique that helped him to a career test batting average of 99.
The Eye-In has been taken up by JJB Sports and a number of independent cricket retailers.
With advertising in The Wisden Cricketer and the product featured on SkySports Cricket AM show on a Saturday morning the Eye-In has attracted a lot of attention.
There are plans to introduce a number of other innovative training products for youngsters in several different sports for the summer of 2007.
